2018 winner

Bird & Bird

Bird & Bird have chosen to tackle the rising threat of cyber crime with an extremely collaborative approach in order to develop “CyberBox”. This has involved bringing together a diverse set of stakeholders (information security, legal, reputational and insurance) across the discipline to develop an integrated task force, which is able to provide resilience planning for the sector.
The judges were impressed with the breadth of external stakeholders involved and the ability to pick and choose the components required to develop bespoke solutions for each client. This has resulted in new work won from big name clients and increased firm wide cross selling and collaboration.

2nd place

Northridge Law

Northridge Law was recently launched as the largest sports law boutique in the UK.  A key deliverable was ensuring that the lawyers remained focused on providing their existing, high profile clients with confidence that strength and depth of support was in place, including management and operational.

Kindleworth is a one-stop-shop for launching and managing boutique legal practices. They helped Northridge to attain regulatory clearance, secure and set up a new office, implement a third-party IT platform and new PMS, whilst operationalising all HR, banking, financing and compliance procedures.

The judges were impressed by the speed and efficiency of the transfer from legacy to the new firm – over a single weekend – and the overwhelmingly positive feedback from clients and market commentary to the new firm.
