2015 winner

BLP

Innovation is both about breaking through with something new – and making it happen and last. BLP impressed the judges on both counts. They were the first major law firm to break the mould in the use of contract lawyers through their ‘Lawyers on demand’ service. Since then, they have invested heavily in process improvement; through their ‘Streamline’ programme and built an on-shore legal services function in Manchester to focus on work that can be process engineered. In an increasingly tough economy, the firm has researched its clients and markets and used that intelligence to deliver real value. This major transformation has been led from the top by the management team who are commended by the judges for the way they have spearheaded change and engaged their people.

2nd place

Radiant Law

Radiant Law are by no means the first LPO. But they have been awarded second place because of their outstanding approach to client service: Based in Cape Town, they have achieved impressive five fold growth by offering their services directly to major corporations. They manage the relationship through on-site personnel backed-up by specialist software and rigorous management systems. In the highly focused area of commercial contracts, they offer fixed price yet bespoke solutions. The result is not only a saving for clients, but a faster and more predictable process. The judges commend Radiant for growing a corporate culture whichhas truly put client focus and innovation at its heart.
