2020 winner

Ian Jeffery

This year’s winner, a litigator elected as managing partner in their 30s, followed by an MBA from London Business School, recently completed 15 years at the helm. During this time turnover and profitability multiplied through consistently focusing on two core business sectors, employment and creative industries, and on providing an exceptional working environment. The latter resulted in the firm being placed in the Sunday Times ‘Top 100 Firms to Work For’ nine times in succession.

Innovation and a willingness to try new approaches has characterised both the firm and its leader over more than a decade. Ian has also been an active participant in our sector’s leadership community. New horizons in legal services may be the next phase of our winner’s career, but tonight we recognise past achievements.

“During my 15 years as Managing Partner at Lewis Silkin I gained a great deal from participation in the Managing Partners’ Forum community, hearing many excellent speakers and having frequent opportunities to swap notes with peers in a very collegiate setting. Receiving the 2020 Individual Achievement Award was a great honour and a wonderful way to round off my time as a Managing Partner. I look forward to keeping in touch with valued Forum colleagues through the 2020’s as our industry transforms faster than ever.”
