What are People for?

Across professional services, the world of work is shifting and evolving. Expectations, technology, geopolitics, clients, ESG — everything is moving at pace and while firms continue to say “people are our greatest asset”, the real question we should be asking is:

What are People for?

On 15 July, the Managing Partners’ Forum People & Culture Committee will be hosting an in‑person panel discussion in London to explore this question from three different angles:

  • – CIPD – how the People profession is evolving
  • – Workday – how systems and data shape clarity, capability and decision‑making
  • – Ipsos – the societal and behavioural trends influencing how people think, work and engage

This won’t be another HR update. It will be a sharp, practical conversation about:

  • – How firms set people and clients up for success in a changing landscape
  • – How technology and data can enable better decisions, not just faster ones
  • – How behaviour, expectations and performance are shifting
  • – What the People function can continue to do to stay commercially relevant

If you’re a leader who cares about people, performance and the future of your firm, this is a conversation to be in the room for.

Hope you can join your peers.
